“I wound up not staying the whole night due to personal circumstances, however the Husband and Wife that run the place were both super sweet and kind! I arrived with absolutely nothing with me except some cash and a dead phone. They put me in a room immediately and gave me a charger to use. The room was clean and a decent size. It also seemed quiet, like there wasn't anyone acting crazy or fighting couples. 10/10 would come back and recommend to someone else. Just keep in mind that it is located in South Knoxville and the building is an older building. It's nothing super fancy, but it is definitely a safe, warm place to stay if needed. Thank you, Sunset.”
“Yes they are outdated but rooms ARE clean and new managers ARE working on getting things in better shape so reputable people will stay. Rome wasn't built in a day and the Sunset wont be perfect in one either. New managers are nice and helpful. If you are respectful to them and the motel you will get the same back.”
“The Sunset is from a bygone era but is very well maintained. As with any older establishment, there has to be some minor hitches, but nothing to discourage staying. The owners are very warm and friendly, and will do all they can to assist you. Daily rates as well as the weekly is reasonable and fair. It's close to every kind of shopping you can imagine and every restaurant and grocery store in the business. Finally it's a relatively small place so I'd suggest calling ahead instead of just showing up.”
